Tech: Apple PowerBook Pismo Upgrade

Back

http://www.Alfred.TV READ ME FIRST: While trying to locate the old footage of me buying Girl Scout Cookies, I stumbled across some vintage footage from January 2006, where special guest star Adam B performs surgery on my (then) six year old, stinky ratty old Apple Powerbook (Model: Pismo). In this video, we take the PowerBook from a G3/500 to a G4/550. I still use this PowerBook every day. It is fully functional under OSX 10.4.11 with that processor and a gigabyte or RAM, and, ultimately, it is more convenient in my lap than the FF class 17" MacBook Pro that I have. Make sure you visit his channel at: http://www.youtube.com/ThisIsAdamB Side note: Adam was coming off of a terrible cold, which is why his voice was a bit scratchy. What a great sport for filming, even while under the weather! Enjoy the retro footage (because it is now an 8 year old PowerBook we were upgrading, Danny!).
