FISA Markup - Subcommittee Chair Nadler on Telecom Immunity
BackDuring the markup of the new FISA legislation regarding surveillance, Chairman Jerrold Nadler of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties speaks against a Republican amendment granting retroactive immunity to telecommunications companies that cooperated with President Bush's legally dubious warrantless wiretapping. The amendment was defeated.
