I totally agree with you rhythmakr, Terry's mastered total syncopation, that's damn well hard to master. The closest I can do to terry is Peart's technique of 3/4 with feet and 4/4 with hands! You haters don't know nothing! And as for Joey jordison, that's a different matter entirely.

None of you haters know much about Terry. Saying he's out of time. Are you kidding? Do any of you know that he can play 4 different time signatures at the very same time, and not lose time on any? Yeah, all 4 limbs keep different time. Which one of you can even do 2 at a time? Maybe a couple, but I doubt it.

Unfortunately, too many people are used to mainstream music. So, when they here someone play that is not mainstream (even though he has played with numerous artists), they think it doersn't sound "right". Like a guitarist friend of mine said Steve Vai is all flash. Puhhhleeeeezzzzzzzzzz!

AllYou guys are missing the point of his playing!!!!! He has all those sounds to bring another element of melody. Its not just guitar or keyboards or even bass. Its melodic drumming at its finest. He may not be the typical drummer you are accustom to hearing. His sound of cymbals is not all chinas. If you listen to them at all they're are very trashy and aggresive. Very primitve and raw, yet very musical. Open your minds people and broaden your musical spectrums.

he talks about making divers sounds all the time and being a musicion means you need a lot of different sounding percusion instraments.so why only china cymbals? WTF!!!!!

no matter how big his kit is, he allways fails to excite me having that huge kit just complicates it too much. he tries too hard to play interesting diverse fills and drum lines but he just results in an overcomplicated horrible sound that isnt always in time! LEARN TO DRUM WITH FEELING YOU TWAT! give me neil peart, joey jordisson, lars ulrich or john bonham any day!

Jpilot2, I agree totaly... Like the youtube video, Danny Carey VS Terrio Bozzio. Not even close. Bozzio is in another universe than Carey.
