man the beatles are my all time favorite..especially lennon..but bowies a close second..very close...awesome writer and performer.

I love how you can instantly tell whether he was in character or not back then. Ziggy was such an awesome persona.
Bowie just doesn't do the Spider's setlist as well anymore, though he's just as good or better with the pre-glam stuff. I always assume it's because he ditched Ziggy.
Not that it's a bad thing, I like his more recent stuff almost as much, but the 70's records were just... Wow, you know?
