yes, i just read an article about monkeys controling robotic arms with their minds, and scintests sending them simple messages through electrodes in their brains.. its amazing

Well, the Darpa Grand Challenge was much more physically demanding on the vehicles themselves, but as far as the robotics aspect of it, the Urban challenge required much more advanced programming, because they had to deal with traffic, merging, obeying driving laws, etc.
